In-District Student Transfer for the 2025-2026 School Year

Parents/Guardians of elementary students, grades Young Fives through 3rd grade who are seeking to transfer a student to their boundary zone school or are seeking a transfer for any other reason to a zone outside of their boundary may request an internal transfer. In District Transfer forms for the 2025-2026 school year will be available to complete starting February 1, 2025 at 8:00 AM and close on March 14, 2025 at 5:00 PM. This form can be found in your Parent PowerSchool account by going to the Forms section in the navigation window. In the General tab of the Forms section, select In-District Transfer Form to make your request. Please see the Transfer Form instructions below for detailed instructions. 

Any requests made after the deadline of March 14, 2025, at 5:00 pm will be placed on a waitlist and placement determined at a later date.

Parents will be notified of the request status for the 2025-2026 school year via email by the end of the business day on Friday, April 18, 2025

Placement will occur on a first-come, first-served basis, dependent on seat availability, in the priority order listed below:

  • Priority 1: Siblings who are attending separate buildings and wish to be reunited.
  • Priority 2: Families who are attending a school outside of their home boundary and are seeking a transfer into their home boundary school zone.
  • Priority 3: Families seeking an internal transfer for any other reason.

In-District Transfer Form Instructions

1. Login to your PowerSchool Parent Portal.
2. Select the student(s) for whom you wish to complete the In-District Transfer for.
3. Select the Forms option from the navigation menu.
4. Select the In-District Transfer Form from the General tab.
Note: The form is only available for students currently in Young Fives through 3rd grade and newly enrolling Kindergarten students.

5. Enter your contact information in the Parent/Guardian Information section.
6. Select the current building your child is assigned to (or would be if they are an incoming kindergarten student) and the building you are requesting.
7. Enter a reason for the request. 
8. Complete the Special Services section of the form.
9. Complete the Other Students Living in Household section.
10. Sign and Submit the form.

Parents will be notified of the request status via email by the end of the business day on Friday, April 18, 2024.
