Who can teach?

We do not require enrichment instructors to have teaching degrees or certification, although certification is preferred for certain fitness classes. Adults who have skills or knowledge they would like to share are invited to submit a course proposal.

Instructors are responsible for developing their own courses and materials. Caledonia Resource Center’ staff will arrange for a space within the community for the instructor to teach his/her class.

Who is a student in the Caledonia classes?

Our classes are open to people of all ages, and residency in Caledonia is not required. Most of the students taking evening classes are employed, and the majority reside in the Caledonia Community School district. They take courses because they want to combine learning with having fun, doing something new and/or meeting people with similar interests. Many of our adult students are new to the Caledonia area and take classes to meet new people. Teaching through the Caledonia Resource Center is a very effective networking/marketing opportunity.

What is the Caledonia Resource Center all about?

Caledonia Resource Center is  the continuing education department of Caledonia Community schools. The Resource Center offers a wide variety of enrichment courses, seminars, and trips designed to give community members an opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills. We are committed to providing lifelong learning programs that will enrich the lives of our community and the surrounding areas.
